Louis Romanos and David Ellington will feature two sets of original music interlaced with contemporary organ trio repertoire and classics from the" Boog-a-loo" era of simmery jazz/funk drumming. They will be joined by Eric Fontaine on saxophones.
Dave Ellington studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston before beginning his touring career with Walter ”Wolfman" Washington in 1987. In his 22 year tenure in New Orleans, Dave was the leader of the Latin-Jazz group "Chevere", and sideman to dozens of acts such as "The Wild Magnolias", and “Tommy Ridgely”.
Dave also records and tours with New Orleans musician “Wess ‘Warmdaddy’ Anderson”.
